On Fri., Dec. 12, Portland-area Banfield associates gathered at our main campus for our second annual community Pet food drive as part of our yearly Season of Suppers Campaign. Starting at 6:30 a.m., donations started arriving from community members wanting to help keep Portland-area Pets fed this holiday season. When it was all over, we collected nearly ten barrels full of food – about 2,000 pounds – for Portland-area dogs and cats!
We had special guest performances from the Madison High School choir and drum line and a kindergarten music class from Jason Lee Elementary School. The Madison South Neighborhood Association, Mayor Tom Potter and AniMeals of Clackamas and Clark counties stopped by to show their support of the program.
All food and monetary donations collected on the 12th will benefit Portland-metro and Southwest Washington Pet feeding programs, which aim to keep Pets of homebound seniors fed. We’d like to extend a special thanks to all the partners, neighbors and students who helped us to make the event a success.
Don’t forget to help feed the Pets of seniors in your area. All Banfield Pet hospital locations around the country are collecting Pet food and monetary donations until Dec. 31.
