Banfield is very proud to impact seniors’ and Pets’ lives in a positive way through our national Season of Suppers Campaign. This campaign began three years ago after realizing that many homebound seniors were not getting the nutrition they needed because they were sharing their meals with their Pets. As a result, Banfield and our public charity partnered with Meals On Wheels Association of America to create this national campaign to fight senior hunger.
Tom Delamater is associated with the Meals On Wheels of Stark and Wayne Counties in Massillon, Ohio. Tom recently wrote a nice note to our practice about how this campaign is helping his community that I would like to share. Tom writes, ” Banfield’s support of our annual pet food drive has made all the difference. The grants we’ve received have enabled us to produce signs and other materials to promote Season of Suppers and raise awareness in our communities. And the partnership we enjoy with Banfield locations in our region have produced significant donations from their customers. We’re grateful for their hands-on guidance and leadership in making our Pet food program a rousing success.”
Senior hunger is a real concern in our communities and we will continue to collaborate with people and organizations like Tom and Meals On Wheels to help feed those in need.
